Previous to learning the craft of bowmaking, I focused on the repair and restoration of bows, and was privileged to work on many fine examples of bows made by the old French, German, and English masters. Much of this experience has flowed over into the bows that I make today.

For all of my handmade bows, I use quality, aged pernambuco wood for the stick. Silver or gold mountings on a frog made of ebony, mammoth ivory for the tip, and pearl for the eyes and slide are used to finish off the details and aesthetics of the bow.

I offer two levels of bows--the standard bow, and the custom bow. For players seeking to have a bow made to their own ideas and specifications, I offer the custom bow. These bows are made from select pernambuco and can be mounted with gold or silver on an ebony frog. Prices for custom bows start at $3000. The standard bow is made with quality pernambuco for the stick and is fitted with a silver-mounted frog. These bows offer the incredible playability found only in handmade bows, but at a price many students can afford--starting at $2000.
